Construction of a maintenance free GEKO asynchronous
alternator
Obvious is the missing of any sensitive and eventually failure- prone,
electronic items or rotating windings.
The asynchronous alternator is actually wearless and provides an
extremely long durability.
Avoiding overvoltage
The dangerous overvoltage of low loaded phases, which mainly
exists in synchronous alternators ( protection class IP 23 ), are com-
pletely prevented in case of the GEKO asynchronous technology.
Due to the concept of the GEKO asynchronous alternator the increa-
se of voltage in particular phases is impossible. Hence to this a sig-
nificantly higher single- phase power take off is possible, unlike the
market- based synchronous alternators.
